CODA MUSEUM OPENS SATURDAY 5 JUNE AND PRESENTS CODA PAPER ART 2021
05.06.2021 to 09.01.2022
Intriguing and imposing, dynamic and vibrant, or understated and restrained, delicate and moving. Cut, folded, torn, glued, recycled, processed, painted, and stuck together. Every other year, CODA Paper Art shows the entire range of art made of paper; from small artworks and objects to huge installations that are displayed to full effect in CODA’s high-ceilinged, bright exhibition room.
The exhibition shows how many different perspectives and dimensions there are in paper art, how boundaries are pushed and how new techniques and digitization are used by the makers to realize their work. There is also a renewed appreciation for nature as a source of inspiration and a number of artists respond with their work to current events and the large amount of images that come to us every day. The works of art in this exhibition were made by 49 artists, internationally. Vadim Kibardins’ Black Papel Chairs are included in the exhibition.
